HOW TO CONNECT WITH ICCS SERVICES:

  • David’s Place Recovery program: Provides individuals with personalized service plans (PCP) that support their recovery journey. Residents have access to daily emotional support, active listening, and structured programs designed to promote psychological health and resilience.

If you or someone you know would like to apply for David’s Place, please read the Resident Agreement and House Rules & Commitment before applying.

  • Supportive Housing: In partnership with BC Housing, ICCS operates three Supportive Housing programs. To apply for Supportive Housing, individuals are encouraged to contact BC Housing by phone or their their website.  Access often begins with the Housing Registry.

  • Assisted Living: ICCS operates four Assisted Living programs.  Assisted Living clients are referred from an Island Health Team.

  • ICCS Drop In Hub: Open 7 days a week and located at 55 Old Victoria (entrance on Nicol), the Hub is available to anyone in need of immediate supports such as a meal, clothing, personal hygiene, and help accessing local resources.  Learn more about the Drop In Hub.

OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES:

 Coordinated Access in Nanaimo

The Nanaimo Homeless Coalition, United Way Central Northern Vancouver Island, and the City of Nanaimo’s Health and Housing Task Force are developing a coordinated access program, funded by the Government of Canada. Coordinated Access will streamline access to a variety of services in Nanaimo. Expected in 2022.

Mental Health Services

ICCS does not provide counselling or crisis response services to the general public. We encourage individuals in need of mental health support to contact the crisis line, or Island Health Services at Brooks Landing.
