Richard Powell

Director of Administration

Richard joined the Board of Directors in 1996 and served as Board Secretary until 2001 when he became Executive Secretary. He focused on administration, society documentation, communication, and the society’s database. In 2005 he began to focus on funding proposals and developing policies. He wrote successful proposals for The Living Room, Sophia House, and the Samaritan House Pilot Project and was commended for his writing by BC Housing Officers.

As Director of Administration he supports the Finance Manager, HR Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator to lead their teams. Together they maintain accurate and timely data, information, systems and applications so that the society meets it’s payroll, reporting, and training requirements. Administration at ICCS is about providing the infrastructure that allows our operations to focus on client’s and their needs and goals. Richard is an enthusiastic Captain in the annual Coldest Night of the Year walk. He is the author of two books with Adams Media and combines his love of information, data, social science, and helping people, to support the ICCS teams.
