recovery centerWe are excited to announce a new program to be offered by Island Crisis Care Society, the David’s Place Recovery Program opening July 2024.

Through our decades of experiencing working with those in need, we know that recovery is not something that is typically achievable in just a few months. Many people need time to rebuild positive habits, healthy relationships and work on their mental and physical health once they have physically detoxed. This is where Supportive Recovery can play a vital role in someone’s journey. Clients of the David’s Place Recovery Program will be provided stable housing, nutritious food, mental health resources, tools that support greater resiliency and strength, and individualized support plans for up to 18 months. Recognizing that the cost for such vital programs typically presents a significant barrier for people to access services, space at the Recovery Program will be accessible to everyone.

We are thankful for funding secured through the CMHA Bed-Based Treatment & Recovery Grant to successfully equip a large part of the Recovery Program. Even with their support, we still have a lot to accomplish.

Ways that you can help!

We have a goal of raising another $50,000 before our official opening by July 15th, 2024. We would like you to consider a monetary or in-kind donation to our David’s Place Recovery Program Campaign to help those in need. All donations valued at $500 or more and received by July 15th, 2024 will have the opportunity to be acknowledged on the Donor Recognition Panel.

This project’s success will also come from the support of community volunteers, who will participate in various roles. We are looking for people who have interests in cooking, crafting, art, gardening just to name a few. If you feel that you would like to connect with clients and have a positive impact on their journey to living well, we would love to hear from you.
